The Internship Advisor is responsible for managing a portfolio of student participants with the goal to provide excellent service and achieve placement in the interest of enrollment goals. The incumbent must work closely with their student advising portfolio to understand internship interests to identify strong matches between their student participants and available internship sites. A successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial, can-do attitude and will skillfully advise and guide students on internship sites. This individual is responsible for supporting students throughout the pre-arrival experience, identifying any potential barriers to enrollment. The Internship Advisor is a team player that generates solutions and provides excellent service and support to student participants throughout the internship matching process.
- Student Portfolio Management
- Manage a portfolio of student participants through an advising session and on-going email communications and phone calls.
- Act as a continuous point of contact and provide excellent service to student participants throughout the pre-arrival experience.
- Collaboratively revise application materials with the student participant, including resumes, professional interest statements, and supplemental application materials as necessary.
- Student Placement
- Work in very close collaboration with the Site Relations team to drive internship matching process through consistent and prompt communication for a portfolio of students to have a clear understanding of the status of referrals, interviews, offers, and placement.
- Data Management
- Track and manage student data in CRM, including: application materials, internship preferences and important information that impacts the student participant’s enrollment.
- Diligent logging and tracking of student participant’s progression in the internship matching process, providing utmost attention to data integrity.
- Student Recruitment & Admissions
- Review submitted applications according to the admissions timeline, making prompt and thorough admissions decisions.
- Conduct recruitment visits to 2-4 affiliated campuses each semester, which includes making travel arrangements, communicating with contacts and liaisons to plan a productive schedule, and introducing the programs TWC offers to faculty, staff, administrators, and prospective students.
Education and Experience
- Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Preferred Education/Qualifications and Experience:
- 1+ years’ experience advising college students and/or career services strongly preferred.
- 1+ years’ experience working with international student populations a plus.
- CRM and data management experience is a plus.

- Knowledge of career services and advising techniques is preferred; knowledge of internships and matching / placement services preferred.
