The Sophomore Exploration Program is designed to help students who have not yet achieved junior status get early work experience and make informed decisions about their major or future career direction. Visit Main Internship Programs to learn more about potential internships related to your interests. Please note that some sites may be restricted to upper level students. Sophomore Exploration Program participants take a course in which most of the time is spent outside the classroom, visiting organizations and embassies and taking part in career exploration activities. Students also have the opportunity to participate in several career inventories to help them determine which academic and career choices may be the best match for their abilities and interests. Please check the specific dates and deadlines, as well as eligibility requirements for rising sophomores. Financial assistance may also differ for Sophomore Exploration Program participants, so feel free to contact us with any questions.
