What is the Washington Center?

Creating Access and Opportunity for Empowered Futures

The Washington Center delivers immersive internship and experiential education programs to learners from across the U.S. and around the globe. We help individuals of all backgrounds and lived experience forge a pathway to rewarding jobs and careers, eliminating barriers to success.

Our staff delivers on our mission and values in a variety of ways, creating solutions for the diverse audiences we serve, including learners, employers, educators, government agencies, legislators and more.

One thing I love about working at TWC is my ability to contribute my own ideas to new initiatives and projects. Even when I was an entry-level employee, I felt that my ideas were heard by leadership.

Bradley Ransom, Associate Director of Employer Relations, The Washington Center

A Strategic Commitment to our Mission and Values

Work at The Washington Center is focused on our strategic plan: “Reshaping the Workforce.” This was created in response to the rapid change of education to employment pathways and the imbalance of access and opportunity.

Prioritizing Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

The Washington Center cannot accomplish our mission without embracing our own culture and commitment to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI). Our JEDI work is ongoing and includes fostering an environment that attracts the best diverse talent, valuing all forms of diversity and leveraging our identities to influence experiences, perspectives and innovation in the work we deliver.
