Hello! My name is Joy Ivy (also know as Joyoncé in certain circles, and by “certain circles” I mean just me). I am currently a senior at Arizona State University majoring in interdisciplinary studies and will be interning at the Peace Corps for the fall 2018 semester. My concentrations are in African American Studies and communication so I am all about ethnic studies, intercultural communication and social justice.
When I am not at the Peace Corps, in class, or writing about all the happenings at TWC I can be found eating, praying and loving at a myriad of cute spots in the DC area. I also love reading about social issues in the world today. As a recent convert to vegetarianism, I am always looking for affordable vegan/vegetarian eats to grab after class.
Additionally, fashion is something I hold near and dear to my heart. I will for sure be doing trend watches on everything that is having a moment at NYFW (New York Fashion Week) that I am keeping a painstakingly close eye on. Besides all that , I am also a lover of good tunes especially those of the alternative/experimental variety.
