What is the Washington Center?
A place where things happen.
The higher education landscape is constantly evolving and keeping pace is hard work. Every year, TWC changes the lives of thousands of students across over a dozen unique programs and fellowships. To pull it off, our staff come to work ready to face new challenges as they arise. Our work days can be busy, and we’re ambitious problem solvers committed to thinking creatively to solve what each day brings.
Working here has given me the opportunity to not only have that professional satisfaction, but I’ve gained a network of individuals that became my family.
Ryan Klang, Chief Operating Officer, The Washington Center
A place where people work together.
It isn’t always easy, and it takes a village to put together the variety of programming TWC offers. From the simplest of administrative tasks to moving in hundreds of students every semester, our staff rarely approach work solo. Some may say we’re a talkative office, but it’s only because we believe that good ideas happen when we listen and support each other.
A place where people know their co-workers.
TWC staff never miss an opportunity to celebrate a birthday, grab a meal after hours, or even help someone move a couch. In DC, it’s said that it’s all about who you know, and at TWC you’ll find a staff with diverse backgrounds and interests; like our students, we come from across the country and around the world. For many of us, co-workers are more than colleagues, they’re friends.
A place where people care.
Many of our colleagues are drawn to our organization because of their passion for experiential learning. TWC staff come to work with a good attitude because they care about helping students find amazing opportunities. There aren’t any programs quite like ours, so pulling it off requires a staff that has a special passion for what TWC does.
Our Benefits
TWC offers eligible employees a wide variety of competitive benefits reflecting our belief that our staff are our most valuable asset.
