I’m Kayla. Born and raised in Wisconsin, I love all things related to cheese, brats, cranberries, and the Green Bay Packers. I attend the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where I study Public Policy and Administration with a minor in Spanish. If not at lecture on campus, you will find me tutoring students with disabilities or fulfilling my duties as a University Housing Student Conduct Board volunteer.
In my free time, I like to read about current events, watch true crime, and spend time with my cat, Destiny. If money was not a concern, I would easily adopt more cats!
While in D.C., I hope to visit all the monuments and prove to myself that I can handle living in a large city alone. Professionally, I would like to be exposed to different career paths, network with role models in my field, and receive guidance on my next steps for job applications and graduate school. With all the exciting opportunities ahead, I know my semester with The Washington Center will be unforgettable!
